Jake's friend Cully (played by funnyman Chris Pratt) married his cheerleader girlfriend (Ari Graynor), and has been looking forward to the reunion so he can finally apologize to all the classmates he bullied in high school. However, after a few too many drinks, the jock-turned-family man ends up reverting back to his old ways instead. Meanwhile, longtime rivals Marty (Justin Long) and A.J (Max Minghella) spend the night still trying to one-up each other to impress the coolest girl in class (Lynn Collins), who now has a secret. Pitch PerfectJohn Michael Higgins, Elizabeth Banks, Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Rebel Wilson, Alexis Knapp, Anna Camp, Adam DeVine, Ester Dean. PG-13, min., December 18, 2012

Beca (Anna Kendrick) is that girl who'd rather listen to what's coming out of her headphones than what's coming out of you. Arriving at her new college, she finds herself not right for any clique but somehow is muscled into one that she never would have picked on her own: alongside mean girls, sweet girls and weird girls whose only thing in common is how good they sound when they sing together, in the new out-loud comedy PITCH PERFECT. When Beca takes this acoustic singing group out of their world of traditional arrangements and perfect harmonies into all-new mash-ups, they fight to climb their way to the top of the cutthroat world of college a cappella. This could wind up either the coolest thing they'll ever do or the most insane, and it will probably be a little of both. Loaded with new takes on old favorites to hits of right now that are seamlessly mixed together, mashed-up and arranged like you've never heard before, Pitch Perfect is directed by Jason Moore, who opened our eyes to the very misbehaved life of puppets in the surprise Broadway sensation Avenue Q.

Sleepwalk with MeCarol Kane, James Rebhorn, Lauren Ambrose, Mike Birbiglia, Cristin Milioti, Aya Cash. PG-13, 90 min., December 18, 2012

"I'm going to tell you a story and it's true... I always have to tell people that," so asserts comedian-turned-playwright-turned-filmmaker Mike Birbiglia directly to the viewer at the outset of his autobiographically inspired, fictional feature debut. Birbiglia wears his incisive wit on his sleeve while portraying a cinematic surrogate. We are thrust into the tale of a burgeoning stand-up comedian struggling with the stress of a stalled career, a stale relationship threatening to race out of his control, and the wild spurts of severe sleepwalking he is desperate to ignore. Based on the successful one-man show, SLEEPWALK WITH ME engages in the kind of passionate and personal storytelling that transfigures intimate anguish into comic art.

Losing ControlLin Shaye, Bitsie Tulloch, Kathleen Robertson, Reid Scott, Miranda Kent. R, 91 min., October 09, 2012

LOSING CONTROL is a 2012 theatrical feature that introduces you to the intelligence and humor of a true romantic comedy and plays for both men and women. The only movie ever shot on the Harvard Campus, LOSING CONTROL is a fresh and funny independent film that explores the universal idea that, at some point, everyone fears that there is a "right" way to find love, and that they might be going about it the wrong way. This original romantic comedy about a female scientist who wants empirical proof that her boyfriend is "the one," stars Miranda Kent (Matumbo Goldberg, Campus Ladies) as the tightly wound scientist, Sam, questioning all that is in her heart because she didn't test it against what is in her head with long time boyfriend Ben, played by the charming, Reid Scott (Veep, The Big C). Add to that the actor, Kathleen Robertson (Boss, Beverly Hills 90210), as Best Friend, Leslie, playing the foil to the slightly neurotic Sam and you have the makings of a true romantic comedy classic. LOSING CONTROL brings to the party comparisons of other great comedic romantic couples like Julia and Richard, Cameron and Ben, and Meg Ryan and anyone.

A Cat in ParisAnjelica Huston (voice), Matthew Modine (voice), Marcia Gay Harden (voice). PG, min., October 09, 2012

Dino is a pet cat that leads a double life. By day he lives with Zoe, a little mute girl whose mother, Jeanne, is a detective in the Parisian police force. But at night he sneaks out the window to work with Nico - a slinky cat burglar with a big heart, whose fluid movements are poetry in motion - as he evades captors and slips and swishes from rooftop to rooftop across the Paris skyline. The cat's two worlds collide when young Zoe decides to follow Dino on his nocturnal adventures - and falls into the hands of Victor Costa, a blustery gangster planning the theft of a rare statue. Now cat and cat burglar must team up to save Zoe from the bumbling thieves, leading to a thrilling acrobatic finale on top of Notre Dame. A Cat in Paris is a warm and richly humorous love letter to classic noir films and the stylized wit of the Pink Panther cartoons - and Dino, the literal cat burglar, manages to steal the show with little more than a subtle swish of the tail and quiet mew.

True story. Grant Cogswell is a short-tempered, unemployed music critic - an oddball outsider with a predilection for wearing polar bear suits, and a deep love for Seattle. Cogswell thinks he can harness the power of the people to improve his city. And he's right. Almost. ? It's 2001 -- before Twitter, before the flash mob, before Obama, and Cogswell decides he must do the impossible: run against an incumbent city council member who's already raised a huge campaign war chest and sewn up all the city's biggest political endorsements. Grant dreams of an elegant monorail gliding silently above the city's wet streets, and he is apoplectic with rage that McIver's alternate mass transit proposal is a costly idea that would destroy the city's lower class neighborhoods. Grant has a snowball's chance in hell of winning his campaign until he lures recently fired alternative-weekly reporter Phil Campbell to run his campaign. Phil may be a campaign neophyte, but he has the tact that Grant lacks, and frankly he can't think of anything better to do with his time. Things start to look really bad until Grant attracts an army of wild-eyed young volunteers to back his unlikely crusade, and the impossible begins to happen. It's politics. But not as usual.

SALVATION BOULEVARD is a tongue-in-cheek look at a charismatic larger-than-life evangelical preacher, Pastor Dan Day, whose charm - and real estate developments - have captivated a small western American town. Part satire and part parable, the film is based on Larry Beinhart's comic novel of the same name. Carl (Greg Kinnear) is a former follower - not of Christ, but of the Grateful Dead - who has since become "found" in Dan's Evangelical community, serving as one of the preacher's great examples of spiritual and moral transformation. After a late night confrontation with a best-selling atheist professor (Ed Harris), Carl's new belief system is upended, leaving Pastor Dan's doughy henchman (Jim Gaffigan) to cover up an increasing series of "sinful acts". As much as he prefers to "go with the flow", Carl finds himself on the run, torn between two women: Honey (Marisa Tomei), a security guard who still longs for the Deadhead days; and his militantly devout wife Gwen (Jennifer Connelly). While a major groundbreaking and a chastity ceremony hang in the balance, only time - and perhaps God - will tell if the right or righteous man will prevail.
